Fleet Motorman / Engine Rating - Irish Sea ferry fleet
- Contract: Permanent; 24 weeks on board / 28 weeks off per year
Fleet Motorman / Engine Rating wanted for a ferry fleet in the Irish Sea (UK/Ireland). The role has no fixed ship: you support the engine teams on different vessels across the fleet. Duties: planned and general maintenance, cleaning, painting and greasing, engine room watchkeeping, fire and safety patrols, emergency duties; ships run a 24-hour schedule. Required: fluent English; basic STCW training; ENG1 medical; Proficiency in Survival Craft and Rescue Boats; Engine Watch Rating certificate (III/4) or Able Seafarer Engine CoC (III/5). Passenger vessel experience preferred but not essential. Offered: full-time permanent job; 24 weeks on board and 28 weeks off per year (including 4 weeks annual leave); pension and life assurance; health cash plan; concessionary travel; training and promotion prospects.
