Training and medical in Croatia
In Croatia, seafarer certification is handled by the Ministry of the Sea, Transport and Infrastructure (Ministarstvo mora, prometa i infrastrukture, MMPI), whose seafarers' pages cover certificates of competency and proficiency, seafarer documents and medical examinations.
The Ministry publishes the COCV register (cocv.pomorstvo.hr). It lists the maritime training institutions authorised to run STCW programmes, together with the programmes each one may deliver, as well as the health institutions and doctors authorised to carry out seafarers' medical examinations.
The training centres, schools and university maritime departments in this directory come from the COCV list of authorised training institutions. Certificates can be checked through the COCV certificate search (Pretraživanje svjedodžbi).
