2nd Engineer - oil tanker to new-build LNG cross training

Vacancy with a global shipping company (client not named). Join an expanding LNG fleet as a 2nd Engineer with a highly regarded global shipping company, recognised for its strong crew retention, excellent safety standards and long-term career opportunities. What you'll be doing - Overseeing the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the vessel's engine room machinery and engineering systems - Managing planned maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure machinery reliability and operational efficiency - Supervising and supporting junior engineers and engine room crew, ensuring maintenance tasks are completed safely and effectively - Monitoring main propulsion systems, auxiliary machinery and LNG-related engineering equipment, troubleshooting faults as required - Supporting the Chief Engineer in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant LNG vessel operations, including adherence to safety and environmental regulations What you'll need Essential - 2nd Engineer or higher COC + valid STCW - 12 months sea time in rank on Oil - Experience with 2-stroke engines - Integrated Automation System (IAS) experience - Availability to join in the coming weeks Contract & package - Salary: Starting from USD 15,150 per month onboard - Rotation: 3 months onboard / 3 months' leave - Opportunity to cross train from Oil to LNG
