Chief Engineer for a hybrid high-speed passenger ferry, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
- Contract: 2 weeks on board / 2 weeks off
A public ferry operator in the Faroe Islands is hiring a chief engineer for a hybrid high-speed passenger craft sailing every day of the week. Rotation: two weeks on board and two weeks off; living on board is not possible. Duties: responsibility for, monitoring and maintenance of the engine room and all technical equipment, compliance with rules and requirements, other maintenance work. Experience with hybrid vessels is an advantage. Required: STCW-endorsed marine engineer licence level 2 or higher (STCW III/3 Chief Engineer), seafarer medical certificate, STCW A-VI/1-1, A-VI/1-2, A-VI/1-3, A-VI/1-4 and advanced fire fighting. Must communicate with passengers in Faroese, Danish and English. Outlook and Pre-Master experience is a plus. Offered: employment under the collective agreement, regulated time off and overtime.
