Chief Officer / Trainee Master - harbour tugs, Sweden
- Contract: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
Two Chief Officers / Trainee Masters are wanted for harbour tugs in Sweden: one on the west coast and one on the east coast, with occasional trips to Denmark. Faroe Islands flagged tugs with crews of 3. Role: leading on-board operations and safe ship-assist towage, safety culture, ship management records and reporting, liaison with shore managers and pilots; a path towards Master. Required: Swedish Class III or Danish Mate 3rd class minimum, valid STCW certificates (basic training, survival craft, advanced fire fighting, GOC, medical care, DSD, SSO) and medical, a couple of years of manoeuvring and bridge experience, hands-on maintenance, Swedish, Danish and English. Offered: permanent full-time job, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, tug-handling simulator and on-board training. Applications close 15.11.2026.
