3rd Engineer - oil tanker to new-build LNG cross training

Vacancy with a global shipping company (client not named). Join an expanding LNG fleet as a 3rd Engineer with a highly regarded global shipping company, recognised for its strong crew retention, excellent safety standards and long-term career opportunities. What you'll be doing - Operating and maintaining assigned auxiliary machinery and engine room equipment onboard LNG vessels - Carrying out planned maintenance, inspections and repairs to ensure machinery reliability and operational efficiency - Monitoring machinery performance, identifying faults and carrying out troubleshooting and repairs as required - Assisting with the operation and maintenance of main propulsion systems, generators, pumps and LNG-related engineering equipment - Supporting the Chief Engineer and Second Engineer in ensuring safe, efficient and compliant LNG vessel operations, including adherence to safety and environmental regulations What you'll need Essential - Engineering COC + valid STCW - 12 months’ (minimum 2 contracts) sea time in rank on Oil - Experience with 2-stroke engines - Integrated Automation System (IAS) experience - Availability to join in the coming weeks Contract & package - Salary: Starting from USD 6,327 per month onboard - Rotation: 3 months onboard / 3 months' leave - Opportunity to cross train from Oil to LNG
