Chief Engineer - coastal towage tug, UK
- Contract: 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off
A Chief Engineer is wanted for a high-power tug on near coastal and harbour towage around UK ports and coastal waters. Role: hands-on running and maintenance of the tug's machinery, fault finding, planned maintenance, spares, stores and engineering records, supporting the Master and a small crew. Required: STCW III/3 Chief Engineer <6000 kW minimum (III/2 unlimited preferred), valid ENG1 and STCW certificates (at least 6 months left), harbour towage or small-vessel engineering experience preferred, right to live and work in the UK, full UK driving licence, living on board during the rotation. Offered: permanent contract, 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, pension, life cover, private medical insurance, uniform and PPE.
