Crewboard is live today. It is a jobs board made for the maritime industry: a place where seafarers of every rank find their next ship, and where crewing agencies and shipowners find their next crew. We built it because we know life at sea, and we want finding work on board to be simpler, clearer and safer.
Our idea is simple: from seaman for seamen and employers. Registration is free for seafarers and for employers, and you can sign up with your email or with Google.
For seafarers
Whether you are a master, an engineer, an officer or a rating, Crewboard is built around you:
Your profile in one place: contact details, next of kin, documents, certificates, sea service and education.
A CV you control: keep it up to date and download it as a PDF whenever you need it.
Real, current vacancies: browse open jobs by position and vessel type, and apply in a few clicks (up to 5 active applications at a time). Follow each application and get notified when its status changes.
Saved jobs: save vacancies and be told when one closes, reopens or expires.
Your privacy, your choice: decide whether companies can find you in the seafarer search, and hide your profile for a while, for example while you are on a contract. Your contacts are never public: a company sees them only if you accept its contact request.
Your next ship could be one application away. Take a few minutes now to complete your profile, so you are ready when the right job appears.
For employers
Crewing agencies and shipowners can find the right crew faster, because every vacancy gives seafarers what they need to decide:
A company profile with your company type (for example crewing agency or shipowner), licence number, website, full address, contact person and photos. Verified companies get a badge and can see full seafarer profiles, save seafarers and send contact requests.
Complete vacancies: position, vessel type, salary range (per month or per day, in $ or €), join dates and contract duration (for example "6 ± 1 months"), plus visa requirements (USA, Schengen), English level and preferred citizenship.
Vessel details: build year, flag, DWT, main engine, shipowner, crew on board and sailing area, with ship photos.
Vacancies that stay current: when the join date passes, the vacancy is hidden automatically. You get an email reminder and can extend it with one click, so seafarers never waste time on old jobs.
Private notes on each vacancy, visible only to you, and one place to manage the applications you receive.
Safe and private
Trust matters at sea, and it matters in hiring. Email addresses are verified, and we never reveal whether an email is registered with us. Vacancies from companies that are not verified are clearly marked Not verified. Every vacancy page has a report button, and our moderators remove scams. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.
Please remember: a real job never asks a seafarer to pay a fee.
Why we built Crewboard
We are proud of the seafaring community. Seafarers keep the world supplied, often far from home for months at a time, and they deserve a fair, honest way to find their next contract. Employers deserve a clear way to reach good crew. We built Crewboard to make hiring at sea simpler, more transparent and more respectful for both sides. We also publish news for crews, on safety, security, rules, jobs and scams, which you can save and follow by topic.
