Filipino seafarers can meet manning agencies at a free jobs expo in Manila later this month. The Marino World Manning Expo and Conference (MWMEC) 2026 runs from 26 to 28 November 2026.
The venue is Main Hall A at the World Trade Center Metro Manila (WTCMM) in Pasay. Organisers moved the event from the old dates of 23 to 25 September. They also moved it to a larger hall of about 2,776 square metres.
Who will be there
Organisers say 69 companies and organisations will take part. That includes 14 manning agencies accredited by the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW). Named agencies include Maersk Filipinas Crewing, Torm Shipping Philippines, Elburg Shipmanagement Philippines, Pacific Ocean Manning and others.
Other participants named in press reports include Philippine Transmarine Carriers (PTC), Jebsen PTC, Seaspan-PTC and Intercrew Philippines Agency.
The programme includes a job fair. There will be talks on the new sea-based standard employment contract. There will also be talks on the Magna Carta of Filipino Seafarers. Seminars will cover welfare and personal finance.
How to prepare if you plan to go

Old registration QR codes no longer work. You must register again through the updated Marino World registration link. Use the link on the organiser's latest notice, not an old social-media post.
Bring your CDC, COC or COP, STCW certificates, passport, seafarer's book and an updated CV. Bring clear copies as well as the originals.

Do not pay a placement fee or a "reservation fee" at the expo. Licensed Philippine agencies must not charge seafarers for a shipboard job.
