Duties: lead and train the engine team; safe and efficient operation of all machinery; planned and corrective maintenance; bunker and lube oil monitoring and records; compliance with SMS, class and flag; engine-side support of cargo and ballast operations; engine budget and spare parts. Required: valid STCW Chief Engineer (Motor) licence, recent sea service as C/E on chemical tankers (or strong tanker experience), knowledge of ISM, ISPS, MARPOL and vetting, good English, valid medical and tanker endorsements. Wanted: an experienced Pumpman for a chemical tanker sailing in the High Risk Area (HRA) (contract at sea). Duties: operate and monitor cargo pumps, lines, valves and manifolds during cargo operations, routine maintenance and minor repairs of cargo pumps, assist with loading, discharging, stripping and tank cleaning, safe handling of chemicals and pollution prevention, keep pump room and cargo areas clean and safe. Required: previous experience as Pumpman on chemical tankers, valid STCW certificates and medical fitness, good knowledge of cargo pumping systems and chemical handling, fluent spoken and written English, safety awareness and teamwork.
